Excerpts from my upcoming novel Bitter Truth

Nirupama   was  growing restless . She  had  tried   several  times  on  mobile  to  contact    Vipul  but  he  was  not responding  despite  the  bell  ringing.  Her  ire  and  also  nervous  mounting,  whether Vipul  would    desert   her.  He was  going to  be engaged  and  soon  being  married. A  plausible    reason to  sever his relation with  her.
Nirupama  was  not sentimentally   attached   to Vipul, but yeah he was  the  man who  had satisfied  her  physically for  the  last one year. She  was fifty  but her  sexual appetite   had  refused to  die down  despite her greying  hair  and  loosened  thighs  . She  was alone  in  this  small  town,  had  opened  a  school and   tried  to  forget  how her husband  was  sleeping with  a  north  eastern  woman  refusing  to  listen to what   her  own  body  demanded. And here  she got  Vipul who  had come  to  her  school  to   install  computers. Also  Vipul  was  PA  to  Brajkishore,   the  local   MLA ( member  of  state   Assembly)  and  his  political  connections  could  have  helped  her flourish her  school.
She  had  invited  Brajkishore  on  two  occasions  on  the    eve  of  Annual  Function  of  her  school  with the  hope  to  get  funds. She  had  even   put  before  Brajkishore  once   but   despite   all  endeavours  his   manhood  refused  to  rise.  Then  she  had    realised  the  rumours  that  he  was  impotent  and  his  wife  having  relations with a  bodyguard.
Before  she  could  try   again for  Vipul   her  mobile  rang.  Surely  Vipul, she thought  but shock  was  waiting for  her.
“ Mummy   its  me  Charu,  waiting  for  you  at the  station”.
“ What?  Her  eighteen  year  old  girl   Charulata   coming    calling.
“ But  how you  came  here.  And  who  are  with you. ?
“ Mummy  I  have  come  alone”.

What?  Nirupama  was  dumbfounded, her  eighteen year  old  daughter  had  travelled  all  alone from  a  distant  north  eastern  state ?
